Where and When?
The 7th Annual Winter Melt Down Tournament will be played the first weekend in March. Saturday March 3rd and Sunday March 4th at Fifty Point Conservation Area and Confederation Beach Park locations.

Registration Deadline: Sunday February 25th

Divisions:
Men's Competitive: Rosters must be submitted for approval to have registration approved. 14 Players Max Per Team. Majority of teams are usually A - B caliber. (plus possibly teams that won C division recently)

Men's Recreational: Rosters must be submitted for approval to have registration approved to play in this division, Majority of Teams are C - D caliber. 14 Players Max Per Team.

NOTE: Any Teams can be moved into proper division if we believe of sandbagging.

Prizes: Every division will be playing for custom embroidered prizing, such as hoodies, coats, jerseys, hockey bag, etc.

Tournament Fee: The team fee for the WMDT is $376.11 + HST = $425 Total.
Teams are required to submit a $100 deposit to go towards the tournament fee to register. Teams can register and pay the deposit online by clicking the big red registration button on the home page or by coming into the rink office during hours of operation, see schedules to see when we are open.

Tournament Schedule: Schedule will be released on Tuesday Feb 27th.
Teams are guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. Game lengths consist of 2 minute warm up plus 55 minute run time games. Last 2 minutes of the game is stop time if game has a 2 goal difference or less. Final championship games will be 3 x 10 minute stop time games with sudden death 5 on 5 overtime.

Tournament Point System: 2 points for a win, 0 points for a loss and 1 point for a tie. Next round and or championship format will be determined based of number of teams in the division.

To do the day of: Teams will be required to be paid in full before playing their first game. All team members must sign in at the office before playing. So be early for the first game.
All players will get temporary parking passes for the weekend at their first game of the event if they are needed.

Rules: Same rules as per OBHL rule book online, any special rules will be stated before start or tournament. We will have ties, no shootouts for tournament games.

Any Gross Misconducts will Be Automatic Tournament and Park Ejection :(
