General Description: The OBHL Youth League at Confederation Park is for Boys and Girls of all
ages and skills to Get Outside, Play Ball Hockey and Have FUN!
The OBHL has been running fun youth divisions at Fifty Point Conservation Area since 2009.
We look forward to a fair, fun and exciting season at the New OBHL Confederation Park!
Here, children can Get Outdoors, Get Exercise and have FUN!
The park is uniquely located inside the Confederation Beach Park at 680 Van Wagners Beach Rd, (Centennial Parkway and QEW)
So if you are just picking up a stick for the first time or if you are looking to keep your hockey
skills tuned up and want tons of FUN, then Register Today to Play!

Seasons to Play:
Spring Season (April till June)
Summer Season (June through August)
Fall Season (September through November)

Season Details:

  • 12 Games Plus Playoffs (Typically 2 exhibitions games, 10 regular season games and
    playoffs total 14-15 Games)

Youth League Fees:
Youth Early Bird Registration (ALL FALL SEASON REGISTRATIONS): $115.05 + HST = $130
Youth Regular Registration Fee : NOT APPLY FOR FALL
Last Day to Register is Thursday Aug 31st ONLINE REG GOES TILL SEPT 3RD

Season Scheduling and Start Up:
Fall Season will Start Saturday September 16th

Team Trades and Balancing of teams may need to occur to keep the league as fun as possible for everyone!
The Season Scheduling will consist of usually 1 to 2 games per week.
The schedule will be broken down to weekday and weekend games. Players will play a weekday at
6pm then maybe a weekend game in the same week. The amount of weekday and weekend games
are broken up evenly for all teams in your division. One or two Mandatory Practices will be scheduled
and after that, practice time is free and optional and is booked by the coach or team volunteer. We
recommend teams take advantage of the free rink time when it is available!

NOTE: These are the time slots will play once or twice a week in these slotted times. The
amount of slots used all depends on the amount of registrations and amount of teams we get which
varies from season to season.

Rookie Program Ages 3-5:  Please see Rookie Page
Youth 6-8 Division: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm or 7pm and Saturday Mornings.
Youth 9-11 Division: Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm or 7pm and Saturdays Mornings.
Youth 12-14 Division: Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm or 7pm and Sat Afternoons.
High School Division: Not offered this Fall Season.

Youth Divisions:
- Rookies 3-5 years old
- Youth 6-8 years old
- Youth 9-11 years old
- Youth 12-14 years old
- High School (must have Student ID)
Age of divisions are flexible in regards to where your birth date lines up with the current season.
Sign up to play with other players of the same school grade/age, players can be moved up or down
based on their skill level.

Match with ONE Friend or Sibling(s):
Players can pick ONE friend OR a family member(s) to play with.
Complete the necessary fields on the registration form to add 1 friend or sibling(s) name.
BUT your match must add you to their form to be successfully matched up.
Please do not put in a coach name or many player names.
We try to make the teams as competitive as possible to have fun and exciting games for everyone.

There is opportunity for local sponsors to assist in our youth ball hockey league. Jersey's, board
ads, and online resources are a way for sponsors to promote to the community.

Coaches are an important part of youth ball hockey.  Please complete the coaching information on
the registration form if you can help volunteer. We like to have 3 parent volunteers per team to work
together in teaching safe and fun play. Promoting a positive environment and teaching
sportsmanship, respect, and having fun are most important. 

Weather Policy:
Games are played in the rain. But games may be canceled in extreme weather such as: heavy rain,
thunder, lightning, high winds, rain with low temperatures.
